Welsh Eisteddfod Festival Aka Lloyd George At Llandudno (1918)

Llandudno, Wales. 1918 - 1919? Opening shot panning over heads of cheering crowd of soldiers and civilians. Several soldiers stand on a platform in the midst of the crowd, waving at people (or waving them away, difficult to tell which). Could be the scene before, during or after Lloyd George’s arrival at Llandudno for the Welsh Eisteddfod Festival. M/S of a young Welsh woman sitting under some trees and playing a harp. She wears traditional Welsh costume complete with big black hat. M/S of two women in traditional Welsh costume chatting and smiling at the camera. C/U of one of the women; she makes a little bow and walks off. M/S panning across a large group of women in white and a few men, standing on risers with a tent in the background. They all give a short wave to the camera. Another shot shows numerous men in Celtic robes. Cataloguer’s note: although title for this item is ’Lloyd George at Llandudno’, he does not appear here! Perhaps he did once and has been snipped out and put somewhere els
