Thought to be Selected Originals from late 1940s material. London. Queen Wilhelmina of Holland presents King George VI with 36 horses on her visit. M/S as Queen Wilhelmina of Holland (the Netherlands) gets off the aeroplane and is met by the Earl of Athlone and Wing-Commander Townsend, equerry to the King. L/S of the royal family watching as Queen Wilhelmina’s gift of 36 horses are paraded around courtyard at Buckingham palace. They are to commemorate the liberation of Holland and the role played by the Household Cavalry, who will use the horses. M/S’s of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother), Queen Mary, Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret watching.
