England Women train at St George’s Park ahead of Sweden Euro 2025 qualifier

England trained on Thursday morning at St George’s Park as Sarina Wiegman’s side prepare to kick off their Euro 2025 qualifying campaign. The Lionesses host Sweden at Wembley on Friday evening in their opening match, before heading to Dublin four days later to face the Irish at the Aviva Stadium. Captain Leah Williamson took part in the session despite coming off halfway through Arsenal’s 1-0 Conti Cup win over Chelsea on Sunday. The defender has not played for England for over a year following an ACL injury that ruled her our out of last year’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
