Massive M8.0 Earthquake Strikes Peru

A massive earthquake has struck northern Peru, according to the USGS. The eathquake was centered 85 km South Southeast of Lagunas, Peru. It was originally reported as a magnitude 7.5, but was soon upgraded to a magnitude 8.0.
