If you come to Armenia YOU HAVE TO go to Lake Sevan! This is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the country and is the main body of water since Armenia is a landlocked country. It is only an hour drive from Yerevan so it is easy to do a day trip to the area or you can stay overnight at a hotel on the lake or a B&B in Sevan City. I would highly recommend trying some of the local seafood, chatting with the very friendly locals and just take in the beautiful mountain lake view.
