Daria Kolomiec plays Ukrainian music on The Lot Radio On July 31, Ukrainian DJ, music selector and producer Daria Kolomieс played a live DJ set on the NYC-based American radio station The Lot Radio. Her setlist consisted entirely of Ukrainian music, and this is the first performance with Ukrainian tracks in the station’s history. In her performance, Daria combined music from different times: there was Ukrainian folk, “funky“ Ukrainian pop music of the 1970s, and music by modern electronic artists. Digital versions of many tracks from her performance simply do not exist, so Kolomiec brought a suitcase of vinyl with Ukrainian songs with her from Kyiv - even though it took two days to get to New York City without a direct flight due to the war state in Ukraine. The primary mission of Daria’s trip to New York was to spread the word about the war in Ukraine, tell the truth about Russian war crimes, and introduce foreigners to Ukrainian culture.
