Reed Turchi - “My Time Ain’t Now”

While scouting locations for Sawyer Sessions we take various aesthetics into consideration including acoustics, lighting, and ambience. Occasionally we find spaces that suit the artists’ vibe and sound, while other times we choose locations based on artist requests. In the case of Reed Turchi, when the singer-songwriter stopped through the Triangle area to record a Session with us he had just one extra request- an old wooden chair. If you’ve ever had the fortunate audible pleasure of hearing or seeing Reed Turchi perform you will know that his latest album, Tallahatchie, is one stripped of the typical studio productions and latent with simple presentations- slide, voice, acoustic guitar, and an old wooden chair on a wooden floor.
