I finally got her talking with some lip-sync! and I added a few more frames! So I’ve designed my own personal “animation school“ that I’m putting myself through. Please keep in mind, that I do, in fact, have a degree in animation, it’s just been a very long time since I finished college, and I never made it into the industry after school. This pencil test is meant to be my own “Mid-term“ for my first semester, and I was primarily focused on fundamental draftsmanship. I wanted to become more accurate with my animation, and make a piece that felt like a refinement of everything I’ve done so far! I’m going to really try and focus on my foundations for a good bit longer, as I don’t think I’m ready to move on modern 2D techniques that come with rigging and puppeteering. I believe that strong fundamentals and traditional draftsmanship leads to stronger application of modern techniques and tools, so I don’t want to rush headlong into moder
