Město darované | A Town Presented to the Jews as a Gift by the Führer (Vladimír Kressl, 1965)

In 1944, at Himmler’s command, a film was shot in Terezín, meant to give the impression that the rumors of extermination camps were enemy propaganda. In that film Terezín was depicted as a town handed over into free Jewish self-administration. “Město darované“ uses footage from that film, combined with images by painters imprisoned in Terezín and later murdered in Auschwitz.
