Zombie Sheep of the Murrumbidgee by Daniel Kelly

I found this story in a book published about the history of Yass in December last year: I can’t find any evidence to corroborate the story, but Dr Bennett, the Naturalist mentioned as the person who reported the behavior in 1832 was definitely a real person who was around in NSW in the 1830s. Anyone else heard stories of sheep going crazy and eating other sheep’s lambs at birth? For those who aren’t familiar with Australian geography, the Murrumbidgee is a large river nearby Yass.
