Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic pledged no change over his country’s stance towards Russia when feeling the face-to-face pressure from visiting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Meanwhile, Vucic reiterated Serbia’ s condemnation over “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine“ but insisted his reluctance to sanction Moscow. During his 3-hour visit to Belgrade, which is part of Scholz’ two-day trip to the Balkans the German Chancellor underlined that Serbia should end its balancing act between the EU and Russia and adopt the bloc’s sanctions if it’s serious about joining the bloc.
