In Bocca al Lupo official video from Wendy McNeill’s One Colour More album

This song is loosely based on a story called “The Accordion Maker “ from Annie Proulx’s book Accordion story tells the fictional voyage of a Sicilian accordion maker and his son to ’La Merica’ in the late 1800s. She blends this fictional tale with a tragic real event in which 11 Sicilian immigrants were lynched in New Orleans on March 14th, 1891. In this song I choose to retell the story from the accordion’s perspective, as she watches things unfold and comes to the conclusion that: ’even the best accordion can’t save an unlucky man.’ xo w
