Xinjiang 2007

During the spring of 2007, my friends and I traveled from Urumqi to the ancient Silk Route oasis towns of Turfan, Kashgar, Tashkurgan, Hotan, and through the Taklamakan Desert. I enjoyed my time traveling in Xinjiang and felt that the Uyghurs were a very hospitable and friendly people. Many of the portraits were taken by my friend Max. His website is:
