The baleen tit (Panurus biarmicus) is a species of passerine birds, the only one in the genus and family of baleen tits (Panurus and Panuridae, respectively). According to the phylogenetic data obtained as a result of the study of mitochondrial and nuclear DNA, the larks are likely relatives of the whiskered tit. Despite the name, the species is not related to the tit family.
