Israel’s Netanyahu and military blamed over 2014 Gaza war: report

A two-year inquiry into the 2014 Gaza War by Israel’s official watchdog, the State Comptroller, has found the government failed to explore diplomatic solutions that could have avoided the seven-week conflict. The report also criticises Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet for ignoring earlier warnings that the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza would lead to grave consequences for Israel.
