THE CHATEAU’S COLLECTION OF SPODE CHINA!

This Sunday I indulge my love of porcelain and delve into the world of Spode! I show you pieces from our collection at the Chateau de Lalande and talk about the fascinating history of this quintessentially British brand. I’m so happy that, when I first bought Lalande 15 years ago, I went crazy in the Spode factory shop and bought enough plates to serve 30 people when there were only 4 of us living there 😂 I believed that one day the chateau would be filled with people and laughter, and that dream’s come true! (Which, incidentally, means that the chateau is also filled with a lot of broken or cracked plates, but that’s a price I’m happy to pay - and it gives me a great excuse to add to my collection! 😉) A very special thank you to all of you who have become Patrons of the Chateau de Lalande.
