with a 1060 maru katana :
I used
240/600/1000 grit from Grinder whetstones :
and
3000/8000 grit from Shan Zu whetstones : AMAZON
1/ the angle
2/ the pressure
3/ the number of passes
4/ keep your stone wet
5/ paper check
Please be careful when using whetstones for yourself and others
and handling kitchen knives or swords.
