Idol (Vinyl digitizing) *HQ*

“One of the best memories i have of making the record was writing the title track, “The Idol”. I had just gotten home from the studio. It was one of those late night sessions, that lasted till almost dawn. I had made a very stiff drink, before i left so by the time, i got home, i was feeling no pain. The dining room in my house had huge windows, in it and i could see, the sun was just about to come up. I was all by myself in the house. It was deathly quiet and i felt very solemn at that moment and i sat there and thought, “what have i gotten myself in to” (meaning this record). The room was huge, with a Spanish tile floor. The sound of the acoustic guitar and my voice echoed in the room and it sounded great! With the sun just starting to peak through the windows, i wrote: “will I be alone this morning, will i need my friend”, (i was referring to the Vodka i was drinking), something, just to ease away my pain”. Even to this today, many times, when we play this song live, i can still see the snapshot of myself,
