The following clip, is excerpted from a documentary film about the 1934 Hancock-Pacific Galapagos Expedition created by W. Charles Swett, the camera man aboard the expedition vessel, the Velero. The film depicts life on Charles Island in the Galapagos, where members of the expedition encountered an assortment of German colonists while conducting their research. The film was often shown by expedition head, Allan Hancock, with his lectures. A copy of this film resides in the Waldo Schmitt Papers (a Smithsonian scientist involved in the Expedition), at the Smithsonian Institution Archives:
