NYO-USA: Denis Matsuev

Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor is considered by many to be one of the most challenging and exciting piano concertos in classical music. NYO-USA cellists explain what makes Rachmaninoff’s work great, and share their experience performing with soloist Denis Matsuev. Each summer, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute brings together the brightest young players from across the country to form the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America.
