🇺🇸🇵🇸🇮🇱 Thousands of people have gathered at the National Mall in Washington DC to protest against the military activities of Israel in the Gaza Strip, a Sputnik correspondent reported from the scene on Friday. Several thousand protesters, are currently gathering on the lawn just blocks away from the Capitol building where US President Joe Biden sent a request earlier in the day asking for more than $14 billion in support for Israel. The protest kicked off at noon, however, more and more people are joining the crowd. At the beginning of the lawn, there are hundreds of flowers as a symbolic memorial honoring the victims. Many are holding flags and banners saying “Ceasefire Now“, “Free Gaza, “and “Stop Israel.“ The protest is peaceful with lots of local and international media covering it.
