Jack Nimitz, Baritone Sax - “Night In Tunisia“ (Supersax, early 1980s) Pepper Adams Jazz Channel
Jack Nimitz, Baritone Sax, makes a special featured guest appearance on the Pepper Adams Jazz channel. Solo starts at 3:00 minutes.
Like Pepper Adams, Jack Nimitz (11 - 10 June 2009) used a metal Berg Larson mouthpiece, but his sax was neither a Selmer nor one without the sound-deforming low A.
Nimitz was primarily known as a sideman. In 1995 he released his first album under his own name, “Confirmation“ (Fresh Sound). In 1997 he released “Live at Capozzoli’s“ (Woofy Productions).
