Avant-garde pan-African spiritual music, free jazz and funk whirled in a social agenda by the legendary The Pyramids with Idris Ackamoor in front. The group goes back to the 1970’s where it grew out of a racially and socially troubled America but they also had their eyes set on Africa which was and still easily is heard in the group’s sound.
