The Comet tank (34) was a British Cruiser tank that was designed as an improvement on the earlier Cromwell tank. and first saw use near the end of WWII and was widely respected as one of the best British tanks on the war. It was designed to be mounting the new 77mm HV gun in a new lower profile and part-cast turret.
