Masashi Saito a first generation Taikiken student of master Kenichi Sawai created a kind of kihon for me, when we were training together in Meiji Jingu in 1974/75,. I did walk this kihon a few times a day as part of a six hour program. After Ritsuzen for 30 minutes, I picked out one or two movements which I repeated for hours. I was well aware of the fact that Taikiken don’t has fixed forms and that the movements are only to mold the mind/body and master a certain feeling.
