Schlangengeist (US) - Dark Krvsade (EP 2023)

Second EP from this solo project of Matt B. (Nightblood, Hex Kommando, Suboxone Klinique, etc.), and already the third this year. Absolutely rivetting, murderous, junkie Raw Black Metal hate, and outdoing himself again, or at least definitely up there with “Unholy Elektrik Spekter“ and “Into the Head of Humanity“. Another excellent piece of grinding and bassey riffing fury, always very much in the veins of the likes of Von, Hell Rot or Demoncy but unleashed in an almost cybergrind-like ton. Riffing is probably here as engaging as ever, while the keyboards are also definitely more melodic but more daring as well, absolutely adding to the cacophony along with the demented vocals.
