Germany: Nothing to cheer about as beer spillage shuts down busy road

A lorry transporting cans of lager crashed on the A2 between Herrenhausen and the junction for Hannover-West (A352) on Wednesday, spilling the alcoholic cargo all over the road. The accident occurred at around 09:00 local time (08:00 GMT) and caused kilometres-long traffic jams and delays while the clean up operation took place.
