Desert Ambient

Rakeesh and his trusty human companion are illuminated solely by the flickering light of the flames bursting forth from the nearest brazier. Rakeesh turns to the man and quietly starts to speak “Tabaxi wonders why you followed me here. Tabaxi is grateful but still confused...“ he pauses and looks down at the ocean of sand stretching out before them but his friend says nothing and so the Tabaxi continues to speak “This fight is not your fight and Tabaxi would not hold it against you if you were to leave this place, you are my friend and nothing will change that“. The man simply shakes his head and smiles “Your fight is my fight Rakeesh.. that’s how it’s always been and always will be. Plus it would be a shame if you died after all that effort I put in to save you from that damned forest!“ They both chuckle and slowly drift off, back, into the comfortable silence only friends of many years can have.
