Visiting Masdar City, UAE (United Arab Emirates)

With an 8 hour layover in Abu Dhabi, I wanted to get out of the airport and see something. I didn’t have a lot of time to explore the city and the Grand Mosque was closed on a Friday so I decided to visit the nearby Masdar City - a carbon free, renewable energy city that also houses and institute for research and green energy exploration.
