Shooting Drill Off the X Drill | Tactical Rifleman- fixed

We want to thank our Sponsor: LAS Concealment Holsters Need a New EDC Holster? Check out LAS Concealment My Favorite... The Ronin 3.0, Completely Customizable, with Over 30 different Kydex patterns. This Drill we call the “Off the X“ Drill. Easy stuff... It reinforces the teaching point to “Get away from where the bad guy is aiming.“ Most tactical shooters, including LE schools, teach moving off the X... Don’t just stand there and get shot. Rather, move while you are manipulating the weapon, and make yourself a harder target to hit. So, we work this into most of our drills. In the drill, we are just using a standard 6-plate Rack of steel targets; but you could use any target or set of targets, including paper targets. We start from the holster, reinforcing to move off the X while drawing. We also short-load your magazines, to require the shooter to conduct at least one reload; again, reinforcing to move off the X while conducting that speed reload. Again, you can change the drill, or any drill, all you want; the point is to reinforce “getting off the X.“ Give it a try, and let us know what you think. Make training fun. Have fun, but don’t miss the chance to conduct real training even while hanging out with your favorite bunch of monkeys. I hope you enjoy the video.
