Bernarda asks Isabel in her room, if she took the medicine and how she will reply to Fernando’s proposal. Victor, the right hand of doctor Pintos, informs him, that Isabel Guerrero will marry Fernando Salinas. Pintos feels, it could be the turning point for him, to steal some money and do the harm to Salinas’ family. Teresa talks to aunt Gabriela in Salinas’ residence. They are about to leave for having a lunch. Valentin, the employee of doctor Pintos, tells Isabel, she should sell some of the buildings, she owns. But he also warns Isabel, it won’t be enough to postpone the court ordered auction sale of the GUerrero’s residence. Doctor Pintos interrupts this talk and tries to convince Isabel, he could postpone the auction sale. Isabel doesn’t trust him anymore. After the lunch, Teresa and aunt Gabriela decided to look on the building, where future wife of Fernando lives. They are in shock, seeing the billboard announcement “court ordered auction sale“. Teresa visits Fernando immediately in his office, asking, what does it suppose to mean. Fernando assures her, that he knows about it and it doesn’t mean anything serious. They begin to change invectives. Corrado tells Manuela, what is the horse-racing club look like. Fernando and Isabel are in restaurant and Fernando tries to convince Isabel, that he will pay all her debts. She refuses his offer, because of loosing her status and her reputation. Teresa visits doctor Goni in clinic, asking, how continues the treatment of Juanjo. Doctor answers, that Juanjo refues all ways of the treatment. Nurse walks in with breaking news, that Juanjo has dissapeared. Cella informs Isabel, that in front of residence, there are workers removing the billboard, Isabel checks that out and doctor Pintos informs her, he postponed the auction sale of the house. Bernarda witnesses all of that with mistrust. Isabel stays in her bedroom and Bernarda warns her from doctor Pintos, that he is dangerous and can’t be treated like ally anytime. Victor talks to Juanjo in pub, ordering him to wash off and visit doctor Pintos for further details. Juanjo is supposed to be the contact inside Salinas’ family. Bernarda visits Leonora, seller of first-class fur coats, borrowing one of the fur coats. She promises, that Isabel, as soon as she is married, will become her finest client. Then, Bernarda visits Saens jewelry, borrowing set of jewelery made of rubys and brilliants, consisting of ear-rings, necklace and wrist band. The last Bernarda’s visit of the day is doctor Pintos in his office. She warns him, about trying to do any type of harm to Isabel. When she is leaving, Juanjo is entering the office. Fernando plans with Isabel their holiday, Fernando offers Isabel to relax on mono-ski. Then, intimate moment begins, but it is interrputed by scared Isabel. Fernando shows Isabel all the buildings of Salinas’ company and they talk details of upcoming great ball in Salinas’ residence. Isabel tells Fernando, she will arrive on her own. Ms. Barnett decorates the Salinas’ residence for the ball, and Teresa supervises. Then, Silvina is welcomed by Teresa as first participant of the ball. Silvina asks Teresa about Juanjo’s dissapearance. Teresa doesn’t reply and looks tense.
