Cyclone Jasper Forecast to Become a Severe Cyclone Again, Extreme Rainfall and Heat Across Australia

Forecast models are suggesting Jasper will once again become a significant and possibly severe tropical cyclone next week as the monsoon trough intensifies across Australia’s north. Jasper will then move into the coral sea, and race south east as a strengthening and powerful cyclone. As we approach Christmas, significant rainfall totals across all of Queensland and in northern NSW is expected, and extreme heat will develop across WA where daytime maxima could approach 50C.
