Defects in the morphology of a sperm cell also known as Teratospermia can be classified as: • Head defects: Small Acrosomal Area (less than 40% of head area), No Acrosome, Irregular, Amorphous, Elongated, Round, Pyriform, Vacuolated (greater than 20% of the head area occupied by unstained vacuolar areas), Large, Small, Pinhead/Tapered, Double Heads, Or Any multiple combinations of these and other part defects. • Neck/ Midpiece defects: Thin, Thick, Irregular, Bent, Kinked, Asymmetric insertion of midpiece
