Aphelium Aeternum - Dark Interstellar Mysteries (full album, 2023)

First released in September on CD format, the debut album from Bavarian symphonic black metal band Aphelium Aeternum is now available in LP format, through the same label – Dominance of Darkness Records. Conceived in 1995 by Tairach Voidgänger, but shelved while he worked on Hexenfluch, Pestnebel, Winterreich and several others over the years, the stars have aligned over 2019 to rekindle the fires of inspiration for the cosmic spiritualism of this project. Peryton of Draugrhanaz, Helsang, Nigrum Tenebris, and Pestnebel was enlisted for drums, and Dragg of Drudensang contribute vocals to the grand instrumental compositions that characterise this album. The dark mountainous peaks and valleys of the cover art continue in to the music itself, with sweeping movement in the cold dark veins of Emperor soar to the cosmos on glittering symphonies of Limbonic Art, grounded with an earthy rawness of the primitive energies of black metal, combining to an album of fascinating ancient majesty.
