From the Levi’s Archives | Georgie Sicking: Cowboy Poetry & Life in Levi’s 501 Jeans | Levi’s

Join Levi’s® Historian Tracey Panek to learn about Georgie Sicking, a woman who broke barriers wearing Levi’s® 501s® on ranches, on horseback, and while reciting her poetry. Georgie Sicking, one of the most well-regarded cowboy poets, was born in 1921 on May 20, the anniversary of the 501® jean. Working most of her life on ranches with men, she chose to wear 501s® jeans and forge her own path, inspiring women to wear Levi’s® and be themselves. Join Levi’s® Historian Tracey Panek at the 2023 National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, see Georgie’s final interview, hear Annie Mackenzie, one of the newest poets, and check out cowboy artifacts in the Levi’s® Archives.
