Afghans stranded outside Kabul airport in their thousands as Biden refuses extension
Thousands of Afghans desperate to flee the Taliban regime remain stranded outside Kabul’s Hamid Karzai Airport as US President Joe Biden refused to extend the deadline for evacuations.
Leaders of the militant group have warned of “consequences” should allied troops fail to complete their withdrawal by the August 31 deadline.
It comes as Australia evacuated an additional 750 Afghans overnight, bringing the total to over 2,400.
