CHRISTIAN SCOTT “THE CENTENNIAL TRILOGY“

Two years after the masterful “Stretch Music“ and its transgressive jazz mixed with rap and electro, trumpeter-composer and producer Christian Scott presents “The Centennial Trilogy“, a personal tribute on the occasion of the centenary of the first jazz recording . February 26, 1917. A quintet of white musicians from New Orleans, the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, recorded the first jazz titles in history on 78 rpm. A century later, it is a child of this homeland of jazz, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah who, by colliding tradition and modernity, maintains this bubbling musical heritage.
