Whinlatter - Cumbria Be My Grave (full album, 2021)

Cumbria Be My Grave is the debut full-length from British two-piece Whinlatter, the latest project of old school raw black metal to feature Hrafn, the man behind Thy Dying Light, Nefarious Dusk, Skiddaw, and many more. The album sharpens everything previewed on last year’s demo; Hrafn’s distinctive snarling vocals, biting, scything riffs, a ferociously feral guitar tone, hypnotically sustained tremolo, and mix of mid-paced to off-the-leash wildness, characteristic of Finnish bands, and of course, several permutations emanating from the Cumbrian Circle. The album is available to pre-order now, released in CD format in a range of bundles with shirts, and demo cds through Wulfhere Productions. Vinyl and cassette editions will follow at a later date.
