Made of mostly Latvians, they fought bravely for their homeland against the expansion of communism. In Kourland (Latvian - Kurzeme) the last remaining German-Latvian army held on against all odds. Surrounded by the Red Army and with the Reich already surrendered, they would keep fighting for their homeland.
