I’m a little afraid of how dark this plot is getting, but I’ll see this to the end. -------------------------------- Umbraclaw; a side-scrolling adventure/action game where you aid a black cat, Kuon, who has recently shuffled off this mortal coil only to be given a chance to reclaim her life and return to her human companion who may or may not be unaware of the feline’s plight. But traversing these Soulplanes will be a challenge as any attack or collision from the monsters of these lands is an instant death. Plus; there are other animals roaming this dangerous world, pets or with the sin of human souls and transformed into anthropomorphic Soulbeasts, each willing or desperate to kill anyone in their path in escaping beyond the Boundary into the living world first. But Kuon’s determination could prove stronger. With every death, she can absorb a random animal soul and acquire their unique skills to aid the cat in her journey. And like the lore of cats, she has nine lives; nine attempts to make it through stages and potentially grow stronger. enough to become and Soulbeast herself and easily fend and defeat the monsters and fellow beastman preventing her from getting back home. But will she become as corrupted as the others; a lost soul whose identity and memories are faded and wrapped? Or can you unlock the gate past the Boundary with her feline nature and form intact? The bigger question for way will I prefer? Stay a pretty little kitty, or embrace the beastman lifestyle?
