Auriol Grey, 49, lost her temper at Celia Ward, 77, and swore at the cyclist to “get off the f***ing pavement”, Peterborough crown court was told. Seconds later Ward’s bike veered over the kerb and into the path of a car, which was unable to avoid her or stop in time. There was a collision and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The two women were passing each other in opposite directions in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, in October 2020 when the confrontation happened.
