TAPE: Unveil the Memories | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

Today we have something very exciting to add to the archives! We are going to take a look at a horror game from Spain! Tape tells the story of Iria, a girl who wakes up in her house and is quickly transported to a distorted world where she needs to rediscover the events of her family’s past. There is a huge emphasis on movie culture with lots of clever and fun references to classics like The Shining and Twin Peaks. While trying to avoid the enemy we have to solve clever puzzles by rewinding and fast forwarding time with the help of a handy camera. The puzzles in this game were the real highlight since many of them require you to think outside of the box. The atmosphere is great and the eventual twist was quite surprising. My biggest problem with the game is that there is only one enemy type and he gets used so much that he got rather tiresome instead of scary.
