Korra/Asami -- Swan Song

Song by A Fine Frenzy. I highly recommend it, it’s a beautiful song. This was a whim. It’s been a while since I experimented with pairings. Plus, a friend of mine loves Asami (and frankly, who can resist, she’s gorgeous) and was talking about her and Koraa as a couple since before she was even introduced. It seemed like an excellent opportunity to flex this particular muscle and give a nice little gift. There is a story here: Korra met Asami first, and Asami, lured by the prestige of the Avatar, extends her dinner date to Korra instead of Mako. They grow close, but Asami becomes infatuated with Mako. She makes arrangements behind Korra’s back, and Korra is blindsided to find that Mako and Asami are dating. Feeling rejected, she shuns Asami’s apology. Korra reflects on what she’s lost, but she is not the only one wondering over the turn of fate.
