Галахов Николай Николаевич. Пейзажная живопись

Galakhov Nikolai Nikolaevich was born May 29, 1928 in the city of Kazan on the Volga River. In 1953 Nikolai Galakhov graduated from the Repin Institute of Arts in Leningrad, from professor Rudolf Frentz workshop. He studied also of Josef Serebrany, Piotr Beloussov, Yuri Neprintsev. Since 1949 Galakhov has participated in Art Exhibitions. He painted genre paintings, landscapes, worked in oils, tempera, and pastel. In 1955 he was admitted to the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists. Nikolai Galakhov most famous for his landscape paintings of middle Volga River and Northern Karelija. His solo exhibitions were in Leningrad (1988) and Saint Petersburg (2010, 2013). In 1984 Nikolai Galakhov was awarded the honorary title of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Paintings by Nikolai Galakhov reside in State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, in the lot of Art museums and private collections in the Russia, England, Japan, Italy, Norway, in the U.S. and throughout the world.
