1930’s Screw Jack Saved From The Junk Man - Perfect Restoration

Welcome to another fun little restoration project that the whole family can enjoy. This time its the turn of this 90 year old Lake Elliot screw jack that i managed to dig out of a barn that was getting renovated. Very little information is out there for this particular jack all I’ve managed to find out is what I could find on the classic British jack website the info is posted below. Lake & Elliot N17080 Description This is a 2 stage screw jack. On one side is cast N17080 and on the other LAKE & ELLIOT LTD BRAINTREE ENGLAND. On top of the winding bevel gear is FABRIQUE EN ANGLETERRE suggesting that this jack may be for a French Vehicle. It is “ closed. Information that has come to light says that N17080 is a Ford stock number for Fordson jacking systems. Applicable Vehicles: Fordson tractors built between 1931 and 1945. Jack Handle Type: Rectangular bar. So anyway I hope you enjoy this little restoration and will join me again next time for another fun filled project.
