NYC activists march in support of workers’ rights | Labor Day Worldwide
Hundreds of activists and employees took to the streets of New York City on Labor Day. The rally brought together people from various occupations, including those who claimed to have been marginalized, such as delivery workers, sex workers and street vendors.
The demonstrators reportedly demanded a significant rise in the minimum wage and the creation of a long-term program to provide marginalized employees with access to unemployment benefits.
