Felipe Massa’s life-threatening crash | Hungary 2009

During qualifying for the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix, a spring detached itself from the back of Rubens Barrichello’s Brawn and flew onto the racing line. Felipe Massa, running close behind, ran over the spring, which threw it up into his face, hitting his helmet just above his eye, and knocking him unconscious, sending him into the tyre wall.
