The safety squat bar is great for many lifters:
1. With this specialty bar, the position of the bar in relation to your body falls somewhere between a front squat and a back squat, making it a great third choice for squat variety. That position can’t be duplicated with a standard barbell.
2. If you’re a really big guy and/or have poor shoulder flexibility, the squat bar allows you to squat without shoulder discomfort.
