A lovely gentleman comes in with a lump on his back. This is what we find. The lump is a carbuncle, where dead skin, skin oils and bacteria have accumulated under the skin, become infected, and are now leaking out of the pores of the skin. He had this lump for years, but they can become infected at any time. Having removed some of the pus, I gave him two different antibiotics and booked him in to a surgical clinic.
