Remnant moisture from Tropical Storm Alberto, which made landfall on the Gulf side of Mexico last Thursday, is producing a robust local outbreak of dry lightning across Central California that could produce some new fire starts. We’re also closely watching storms making landfall near Santa Cruz and other convection moving north offshore, which could move through parts of the Bay Area and NorCal this evening. ️ Not expecting this to be a major dry lightning outbreak, but be weather aware this afternoon and evening in NorCal for potential isolated thunderstorms.
